Oriol Fontdevila is a curator, writer, researcher, focusing on art practices and education based in Barcelona. He has accepted a UOC Grant for the Doctoral Programme in Humanities and Communication, 2020-2023 (Open Univeristy of Catalonia). He has developed curatorial projects in many contemporary art centres and museums, as Antoni Tàpies Foundation (Barcelona), Joan Miró Foundation (Barcelona), La Virreina Arts Centre (Barcelona), Santa Mònica Arts Centre (Barcelona), El Carme Contemporary Culture Centre (València) or Vojvodina Contemporary Art Museum (Novi Sad, Serbia). He was a member of the curatorial team of the European project Performing the Museum; and artistic director of Sala d’Art Jove, Catalan Government’s Young Art Initiative. His essay El arte de la mediación (The Art of Mediation) was published at 2018 by consonni (Bilbao), which was completed after a research grant held by MNCARS, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Madrid). He has collaborated with many contemporary art books and catalogues. He is visiting lecturer of several MA programs and international study programs. He is currently assistant professor in EINA Art and Design University (Barcelona).
